About Us

Back in the 16th Century, a young Princess Victoria's carriage pulled over at an Inn, so the horses could be watered & fed. From the comfort of her carriage, Princess Victoria asked "where are we"?

"We are halfway there your majesty" came the reply thus the name was given to the Inn ... the Halfway House Inn

Our Inn boasts:

Fully licensed bar & restaurant
3 x guest rooms
4 x guest cottages
3 x guest rooms in a converted barn
29 pitch touring park
3-acre wild camping field, 90 second walk from the Inn.

The 16th Century Inn has been owned & run by the Williams family. The Williams name is legendary in & around Shropshire, previously owning hotels, wine bars & pubs since 1965.

Peter Williams (the longest serving landlord in Shropshire) his wife Cecile & son, Matt, have been welcoming guests to their Inn for over 25 years, always making everyone feel part of their family.
